Public-private partnerships have role to play in successful education facilities, says OECD

Well-designed educational facilities can improve education quality, raise achievement and increase community involvement - and public-private partnerships can help contribute to their good management, an OECD report finds.

The third edition of the OECD Programme on Educational Building's Compendium of Exemplary Educational Facilities showcases 65 innovative and recently built or renovated spaces with colour photographs, plans and descriptions.

New Zealand is included in the publication, along with case studies from 19 other countries.

The institutions featured cover all levels of education - from pre-school through to tertiary.
